Protect a secret with 2FA
Save an authenticator, share its QR code, and protect a secret with a 2FA code from an authenticator app.
Transcript
Add a second lock to a secret: a six-digit code from an authenticator app, like the one you use for online banking.
Open Authenticators and click New authenticator. Give it a name your recipient will recognise.
The key is generated for you. Click Create authenticator.
Your recipient scans this QR code once, in any authenticator app. Download it, copy the link, or share it as a secret.
Now create a secret. Turn on Advanced mode, and type the secret.
Open Auth, choose 2FA, and pick the authenticator you just created.
Click SharePass it, and send the link.
To open it, your recipient types the code their app shows right now. It changes every 30 seconds.
The right code unlocks the secret. The link alone is not enough.
Two locks, zero digital footprint. Find out more at sharepass.com.
